Dr. Shira Goldenberg (she/her)
Director of Research Education
Dr. Shira Goldenberg is CGSHE’s Director of Research Education. She is an Assistant Professor in Global Health at Simon Fraser University, an Affiliate Faculty in Medicine at the University of British Columbia, and founder and lead instructor of a CGSHE global health experiential learning course in Migrant Health in Tijuana, Mexico, in partnership with UCSD. At CGSHE/UBC, she is the Principal Investigator of the IRIS Project focused on sexual and reproductive health among im/migrant and refugee women as well as Principal Investigator of the NIH-funded AESHA Project evaluating the impact of laws and policies on sex workers’ health, safety and human rights.
