CGSHE Speaker Series: Dr. Charlotte Loppie, “Pre-Contact Indigenous Sexualities”

Dr. Charlotte Loppie is a Professor in the School of Public Health and Social Policy and Director of the Centre for Indigenous Research and Community-Led Engagement (CIRCLE) at the University of Victoria. Her research interests are sexual and reproductive health across the lifespan; sexual diversity; sex trade work; HIV/AIDS; the construction of female sexuality and cultural determinants of health. Dr. Loppie is also the co-lead of the Aboriginal HIV/AIDS Community-Based Research Collaborative Centre (AHA), a national Indigenous-led collaborative research centre, and a co-investigator on a number of CGSHE community-based research projects.
