Dr. Jill Chettiar (she/her)

Dr. Jill Chettiar (she/her), MD, MPH, is a clinician researcher at the Centre for Gender & Sexual Health Equity in the UBC Faculty of Medicine and Adjunct Faculty in the UBC Division of Social Medicine. She served a two-year term as an Associate Director of CGSHE from 2020-2022 where she provided core shared leadership and guidance to the CGSHE network. Dr. Chettiar is trained in family medicine with a special interest in sexual health over the lifespan and gender-affirming care. Prior to her MD training, she brings over a decade of community leadership experience and has worked with CGSHE/UBC in many capacities since 2009. She is Primary Investigator of the Trans Health Research Project funded by Vancouver Foundation and Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research hosted at CGSHE, in partnership with PACE, QMUNITY, WAVAW, and the Catherine White Holman Wellness Centre. She is also PI of the UBC Trauma-Informed Support project (2019-2024), developing and evaluating best practices to support criminalized survivors of gender-based violence.
