The Brazil-Canada Initiative gathered data generated in Vancouver, Canada and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to offer a rich and diverse set of opportunities to characterize opportunities and gaps in HIV treatment as prevention approaches, with a strong emphasis on population health intervention ethics. The results are informing ethical and effective intervention practices at a population and individual level to address a serious and growing population and personal health problem – STI/HIV among young men.

Research Objectives

Using data collected through over 100 interviews with young men, service providers and policy makers in Brazil and Canada, the initiative seeks to inform new strategies for STI/HIV testing service provision for young men.
