Daniella Barreto (she/her) is a Research Assistant with the SHAWNA Project at the Centre for Gender & SexualHealth Equity, exploring health inequities for women living with HIV. Daniella holds an MSc in Population and Public Health from the University of British Columbia and a BSc in Health Sciences from Simon Fraser University. Daniella’s thesis work explored the impacts of structural inequalities and interpersonal violence on sex workers and women living with HIV. She was previously an interviewer with the AESHA Project before her graduate studies and worked in youth sexual health with YouthCO HIV & Hep C Society. Daniella is a former core organizer with Black Lives Matter-Vancouver and an alumna of the Jeanne Sauvé Public Leadership Program in Montreal.
