Mika Ohtsuka (she/they) is a Ph.D. student at the University of British Columbia’s School of Population and Public Health. Under the supervision of Dr. Kathleen Deering and Dr. Gina Ogilvie, Mika’s work on the SHAWNA Project focuses on understanding how experiences of violence relate to healthcare access for women living with HIV in Metro Vancouver.
