In solidarity with #ScholarStrikeCanada

September 8, 2020   |   News

In response to anti-Black and anti-Indigenous racism and colonial police brutality, UBC and SFU faculty at CGSHE will be joining thousands of faculty across Canadian universities in supporting a labour action strike #ScholarStrikeCanada on September 9-10, 2020. The Canadian action for racial justice Scholar Strike is aligned with and inspired by Dr. Anthea Butler in the U.S.

On September 9-10, UBC and SFU faculty at CGSHE will be engaging in the digital teach-ins happening across the country. A full list of actions and digital teach-ins can be found here and we encourage trainees and staff to participate.
