Dr. Germaine Tuyisenge (she/her)

Dr. Germaine Tuyisenge (she/her) is a faculty member at CGSHE and the Department of Population Health, in Epidemiology and Public Health, at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Dr. Tuyisenge completed a postdoctoral fellowship with CGSHE, working on the IRIS Project, documenting the experiences of immigrant women accessing sexual and reproductive health services in Vancouver, Canada. She is a Fellow of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarship, a bridge placement she completed in Kenya in between her Masters from the University of Western Ontario and the PhD program at Simon Fraser University, both in health geography. Her research focuses on equitable access to sexual and reproductive health services among resource-limited settings. She has worked with government and non-government institutions in Rwanda, Kenya, the Netherlands and Canada on community-based programs to improve sexual and reproductive health.
