Dr. Mark Gilbert is a CGSHE Faculty Member and Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia’s School of Population & Public Health. Dr. Gilbert leads the BC Online Sexual Health Services program and the development of novel internet-based approaches to sexual health service delivery, including SmartSexResource.ca (an interactive, sexual health education website for the public and health care providers) and GetCheckedOnline a comprehensive internet-based testing service for HIV and STIs in BC. Mark is a national expert in research related to gay men’s sexual health, HIV and STI testing, and the evaluation of online services, using an integrated knowledge translation approach in collaboration with national and international research partners.
