Amrit is a CGSHE-affiliated BSc student in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University under the supervision of CGSHE faculty, Dr. Travis Salway. Her thesis is on the geographic distribution of conversion therapy practices in Canada seeks to examine the geospatial patterning of conversion therapy prevalence across provinces/territories and to assess the association between prevalent practices and existing conversion therapy bans. Amrit has received multiple awards, including the Patrick D. Morawski Award for Ethical Engagement and Undergraduate Research Student Award. She is an active member of the 2S/LGBTQ/+ Mental Health Roundtable and REAFFIRM Collaborative.
