Trevor Goodyear (he/him)

UBC PhD Student

Trevor Goodyear (he/him) is a CGSHE Research and a UBC doctoral student in the School of Nursing. He is a registered nurse and Addiction Medicine Research Fellow with the BC Centre on Substance Use. Trevor’s research, co-supervised by Drs. Rod Knight and Emily Jenkins, will be a critical ethnography with precariously housed LGBTQ/2S youth who use drugs. Trevor has a Master of Public Health and a Master of Science in Nursing from UBC, where his thesis explored opportunities to advance equity in access to hepatitis C treatment for people who inject drugs. He is broadly invested in critical and community-based research with LGBTQ/2S youth and people who use drugs. Trevor’s research is directly informed by his past clinical experiences, including in youth mental health nursing at BC Children’s Hospital. Click here to read Trevor’s publications.
