Research-to-KT

"Our Communities Rise Like Butterflies," Indigenous Women's Art Collective, Artist Haisla Collins, CGSHE CFI-Funded Gender Community Research Hub, 2019

From 2018-2024, CGSHE hosted this research-to-knowledge translation (KT) space and provided research infrastructure support for external UBC and/or SFU projects and research programs led by affiliated UBC or SFU faculty that relate to advancing gender equity and sexual health for all.

Recognizing a gap in access to academic research and creating virtual and in-person space for faculty to share their research with community, policy makers, clinical practitioners and the general public, CGSHE has provided communications and KT/ design support for external research programs over the years from webspace to innovative KT, graphic design, and science communication (e.g. development of digital resources, infographics, videos, reports and media support, press conferences) and community research infrastructure support.

Below is a list of active & past projects that have been launched or facilitated with CGSHE comms, KT, design, and research infrastructure support. As all the investigator-driven research is run externally by faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students at either UBC / SFU, please reach out directly to principal investigators for any questions or additional information about their research.
