UBC Men’s Health Research Program
UBC Men’s Health Research Program offers a suite of gender-sensitized community and web based interventions addressing men’s depression and suicide, tobacco reduction and smoking cessation in fathers and men, and psychosocial prostate cancer care.
The gendered dimensions of men’s health practices and illness management are key understanding the complex interplay of masculinities and other social determinants of health. Moreover, transitioning these insights to address men’s health inequities is requisite to overcoming the challenges that characterize many men’s health outcomes.
